Chuck Pilkinton

Incriminator Audio would like to recognize Chuck Pilkinton as our Competitor of the Month for August. Chuck is from Alabama and has been competing in car audio since 1996.  Chuck is well known on the MECA circuit and has been competing in MECA for 3 years.   He placed third at World finals in his very first year.  Chuck went on to improve his score and place second at World Finals last year. Chuck believes that this year could be the year that he brings home that first World Finals Championship trophy.

We asked Chuck's opinion on using Incriminator Audio equipment to compete, this is what he had to say! " I have used IA equipment all 3 years competing in MECA and it is spot on!   Hit after hit, I get the same numbers all day long.  They make really great products!"

"My car is a 1988 Honda Civic that I bought off the side of the road.  It was built at Audio X in Florence, Alabama.   I played a big part in the install process.  There's no glory if you let someone else build it for you! Thanks for the products!!"

We appreciate you Chuck!  Way to represent Incriminator Audio!  Good luck at World Finals!

Car Audio Competition organizations dBDRAG (dB Drag Racing Association), MECA (Mobile Electronics Competition Association) and IASCA (International Autosound Challenge Association) are once again joining forces to produce a unified finals event. The event will be held at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, AL, during the weekend of October 17-18, 2015. This event will include all competitors from SQ to SPL and will allow for the opportunity to compete in multiple formats all under one roof.

The venue was host to the 2nd Annual Car Audio Championships in 2013 and was liked by many competitors, requesting that we return to the venue. Upon research and consideration of the competitors' requests, the decision was made to return.

As in years past, the event will feature a "Quiet Zone" for SQ Judging in IASCA and MECA each morning of the event, and plans are under way for the option of Friday night judging of sound quality vehicles. An SQ schedule will be released within the next 30 days.

The SPL competition will take place in the building with ample space to hold more than 100 vehicles. Plans are already under way for an improved floor plan/lane structure to improve traffic flow.

"Many IASCA competitors have stated they really enjoyed the Huntsville venue and in all honesty, we liked it too" said Moe Sabourin, Director of Operations for IASCA "Hotels were located virtually next door to the venue, restaurants were nearby and access to the building from all directions was easy. Plus, the Von Braun Center is a quality building worthy of hosting an event of this caliber; we look forward to returning there in 2015."

"The dBDRAG is thrilled to have finals back in Huntsville again for 2015." Said dB Drag Racing Association Marketing Director, Celise Harris "The collaborative effort of the organizations is a huge benefit to all of the parties involved. The dBDRAG will also offer crossover organization points for competitors to use towards their Finals points requirements. We understand that there are only so many weekends available during the season and we want to include as many participants as possible. The location in Huntsville should offer ample space to accommodate everyone."

The MECA club is committed to enhancing the awareness and popularity of car audio sports, for us SQL and SPL, and everything to do with car audio and mobile electronics." Stated MECA President Steve Stern, "We've had a bump in interest and participation, and having a great venue like Huntsville will reward our dedicated members and fans with a great event".

Special hotel rates will be available and details will be announced in the coming days.

For more information on exhibiting or sponsorships at the event, please contact one of the organization representatives or the show coordinator.
